The first 6 months of 2026 have passed, and it’s time to take another look at Canmore’s real estate market: what is happening, how sales numbers and prices have developed compared to last year, and what to expect for the second half of this year.
At first glance, sales numbers appear to have dropped. During the first six months of 2025, we recorded 245 sales, followed by 247 sales in the second half of the year. With only 239 sales registered in the first six months of 2026, it initially looks as though sales activity has slowed down by 3–4% compared to both periods last year. However, when we take a closer look, the situation is much more nuanced, and these surface numbers can be misleading.
